Linux Foundation hosting OpenEEW
Today the Linux Foundation has begun to host the open source EEW project OpenEEW.
Grillo has founded OpenEEW in partnership with IBM and the Linux Foundation to allow anyone to build their own earthquake early-warning system.
Anyone can deploy or contribute to this open source toolset, which includes the core components from the Grillo EEW.

Makers and engineers can improve the firmware and hardware for sensors and alarm devices
Developers, can advance the various docker, node-red, applicatoins that make up OpenEEW
Seismologists or Data Scientists can develop new detection methods with OpenEEW data
You can buy an OpenEEW sensor manufactured by Grillo.
This device is programmed to send high precision accelerations to the cloud. The transmission has been calibrated so that no readings are lost (assuming good network conditions).

We compare Grillo’s sensors to expensive observatory grade sensors.
The Mexican EEWs We regularly run benchmark analysis of Grillo’s Earthquake Early-Warning system (EEW) against other systems in Mexico. This year we were pleased to
“This earthquake alarm can predict when tremors will strike”
“A solution like Grillo has been the dream of the engineering community”
“Grillo could save thousands of lives”
“Grillo’s sensors collect microdata on effects of shaking which could better assess risk of damage”
